Students and mentors have come together once again to complete the impossible! With support from Saint Peter's Preparatory School, Panepinto Properties, Donovan realty & Development inc, as well as the NASA second year rookie grant, the Technological Terrors are back with more members than ever! Participating the the 2016 annual FIRST Robotics Competition season. Beginning with a few student lead engineering and programming workshops, the team went headlong into the build season for the FRC Stronghold game. Team 5438 will be participating at Two Mid Atlantic District Events: Seneca and Montgomery!
In collaboration with Saint Peter's Preparatory School, Stevens Institute of Technology, Eastern Millwork, Inc., and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Planners, the students of St. Peter’s Prep formed the inaugural FIRST Robotics Team for the 2015 season. It had over 25 students and five mentors. The team won the NASA and BAE Systems Grants. The team hosted a series of workshops and a two-day camp at Stevens Institute of Technology on teamwork and robot building. It created its first robot during the Build Season, Ignatius Prime. After that, it attended two competitions, Mount Olive and New Brunswick. Team 5438 won the Highest Rookie Seed, Rookie All-Star, and Rookie Inspiration Awards. Soon after, the qualified for the Mid-Atlantic Robotics Regional Championship. They enjoyed one successful Rookie Year!
